Lupe Hernandez

A Tyler native, Lupe pursued his associate degree in music at Tyler Junior College and his bachelor’s in music education at the University of Texas at Tyler. He has 12+ years of trumpet experience and 3+ years of piano experience. A fun fact about him is that during his time at UT Tyler, the trumpet ensemble was chosen to compete at the National Trumpet Competition. Lupe believes that playing an instrument not only helps the student’s creativity, but also helps them academically, building good habits that’ll prepare them in their lives. His passion towards music has made him want to teach and pass on his love for music to not only students, but to anyone who enjoys music.
