Encore Classes
The Tyler Arts Project (TAP) – Encore, a collaboration between Young Audiences of Northeast Texas, Caldwell Arts Alliance, TJC Academy of Dance, and Caldwell Arts Academy, is dedicated to expanding after-school opportunities for K-8 grade students in and around Tyler. This yearlong program offers dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, led by a team of expert teaching artists and educators. TAP provides artistic development in these areas through studio-style classes and offers academic help to students as well! By fostering creativity and community connection, TAP empowers students to thrive as engaged citizens, transforming the future of their community. TAP’s main goal is to provide equitable access to arts education, promoting personal growth, creativity, and academic success.
The program is held at Caldwell Arts Academy and is currently open to any student in K-5th grade across the district. As we grow we plan to increase our offerings to 6th-8th grade students and offer transportation for families who need it. Currently, students not attending Caldwell Arts Academy will need to be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian.
The program runs daily from 4pm – 6pm. Families can opt-in to the full week, or register for one-two days a month.
