Join us for the Southwest Arts Integration Conference at Austin Independent School District (AISD) Performing Arts Center in Austin, Texas June 18-19. This conference, presented in collaboration with MINDPOP, Innovative Schools Network, and the Kennedy Center’s Changing Education Through the Arts program, is designed for teachers of grades K-8. Don’t miss workshops with Kennedy Center presenters who will show you how to integrate the arts with your curricula! Arts integration is an exciting way of teaching that helps you reach diverse learners and increase student engagement. Learn how to integrate dance to teach math, drama to teach social skills, language arts, and social studies, and visual art to teach about story development. In addition, you’ll hear from Dr. Brent Hasty, executive director of MINDPOP, who will share about Austin’s Learning Initiative, a city-wide collective impact to make all Austin schools creative campuses by 2023. Join like-minded colleagues for this energizing conference that promises to leave you motivated and empowered to bring the arts into your classroom!
