Too many ideas and a lack of focus can derail a student’s per-sonal narrative. Students work with professional writer Chris Espinosa to turn non-descriptive sentences into an original paragraph that could be the outline for a short story. Using their imaginations, the senses, and five simple questions (Who? What? When? Where? & Why?), students realize that the writing process is about HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
